Ocean of Cash... part 3...

A lot of members have started to ask whether "Why do Big Canon like OCNCASH so much?

Well, we will explain to U the rational behind. However, as we writing this article past few days, the share price have had a great run today. Congratulations to our readers!

All is well with Ocean of cash..

Looking at the past few days, global market had tumbled as we are 1 step closer to the FED's FOMC meeting where Malaysia market are not spared too. Does this mean there is no more stock that worth to look into already?

Well.. as we mentioned before, there will be window dressing and its finally here..

As we look back at what happen on August, we saw that most of the stock had came down when the index took a nose-dive. However, this doesn't last long as those stocks that are benefited from the weak Ringgit and strong USD such as those furniture counters and export oriented counters had rebounded strongly and they are hitting new high recently as strong USD are pushing the profit of these companies to new high.
Ex: Hevea, Pohuat, Homeritz, VS, LCTH.

On the other hand, we've started to see plastic counters are also hitting new high with their profit as the cost of their raw material "resin" which is derive from Petroleum had hit new low together with the Crude price. On the other hand, these companies had also export their product hence strong USD coupled with low raw material cost which had boosted their profit and share price to new high.
Ex: Pbplastic, SCGM, SLP, Scientx

Looking at the current situation, International Crude oil price is hitting 7 years low in the past week while RM is now at 4.3+ VS USD. We are not sure whether will Crude oil hit below USD 30 per barrel but at least it is now below 40 USD per barrel which will help to lower down the raw material cost. On the other hand, the rate hike is almost certain which is will bring back the strong USD for mid term.

As a result, Strong USD and low raw material cost will continue to be the theme of the market as long as the Ringgit is still weak coupled with low crude oil price. Where lots of those gem will be discovered by the market.

Talking back about OCNCASH, some of our members get to interview the top management from the company (prefer not to disclose). As we well aware there are 2 segment for the company.

FELT Division

1. Oceancash have 3 lines where 2 in Malaysia and 1 in Indonesia and the new factory in Indonesia to commence operation in final quarter of 2015, where the new factory will ultimately house their production line and doubling their existing capacity from 150 to circa 300 tonnes per month. The increase in capacity will help to increase the revenue of the company too.

In Malaysia, they indirectly supplied 100% of felt in Panasonic's aircond. On the other hand, they also export to countries like Australia, Thailand, Philippines, 20% of sales are based in USD.

2    2.  The export sales to Thailand is healthy and it picked up in the second half of 2015. The decision of setting up production in Thailand will result in higher sales due to the nature of the automotive OEM business there.
3
      3. They expect the slow car sales in Malaysia to affect their felt business in 2015, however they expect the overall business to be unaffected due to the increased sales in Aircond industry coupled with increase export sales.

      4. They have 2 kind of felt where 1 is resinated felt (use for engine cover) and non-resinated felt. The low crude price had brought down the cost of this segment, though the growth in this segment is minimal but the margin had went up due to lower cost. This will help to increase the profit from this segment.

      5. There are only 3 companies that produce felt in South East Asia where 1 is in Thailand and 1 is OCNCASH and another 1 is in Nilai.

    Non - Woven Division

    1. The nonwoven segment is also a beneficiary from the low crude price as the raw material is related to crude oil. As a result, we will see increase in profit margin that boost the profit.

    2.  2 in 1 nonwoven product is the current trend where it has several factors to fuel the growth of OCNCASH.

    3. The company had modified their machines to increase the capacity for nonwoven production where this had increased their air-through non woven capacity by 100 tonnes/ month.

    4. They are supplying their non-woven product to hygiene business producer such as those famous brand (can't put the name here). They are producing femine care products such as sanitary pads, party liners. breast pads as well as adult diapers. Most of the diapers are their clients except Mamipoko.

    5. The utilization rate of the production is 80% at the moment after getting more orders from customers recently.

The management had also share there they are the beneficiary of strong USD as they are doing export as well as low crude oil price.  These are just the theme that we are looking for, on the other hand this company have also got a production line expansion story where the production line will increase by 30%.

On the other hand, we also understand that the management is quite keen and have met a lot of fund managers. As a result, we saw that 1 of the fund had appeared in top 30 shareholder list. This can be check from the bloomberg portal which is only available to those corporate guys.
From the picture u can see that there are 2 funds that have invested into OCNCASH, where U can see at number 11 that AmAsia Pacific Equity Income have just invested in 31st October 2015. Looking at the date, we guess the cost of the fund is 36 cents and 37 cents.

Looking at number 17, we saw KAF Tactical Fund have just invested in 28th February 2015. The cost is about 30 cents.

Another thing is that the company have paid dividend recently, where this had open the road for some funds to invest in them, this is because some of the fund can only buy shares with dividend. We believe the management had open the road for fund to invest in them. As a result, we can monitor closely whether will there be any DBT or placement take place.

e
Please join our channel to get the latest info about the current market and our trading move.

    Summary

    1. OCNCASH has a theme of Lower raw material cost due to lower Crude Oil Price
    2. Beneficiary of Strong USD as they have 70% revenue is from exporting segment.
    3. The expansion of production line which help to boost the top and bottom line.
    4. Changing listing from Ace market to Main market.
    5. There are fund that invested in them and we believe this is just the beginning.
    7. The good result of NTPM had causes the share to move, which we believe this will causes OCNCASH to get re-rated as this counter is now trading at 10 times annualized PE.

We remain our TP of 50 cents for mid term and long term is 60 cents.

How a Stock Pump and Dump Really Works?

*Forwarded from Bursa Master, Thanks to him

You may have seen a stock pump and dump underway the last couple of months in the Bursa Malaysia stock market for any number of small cap and medium cap companies.

The whole reason behind a stock pump and dump is for the stock pumpers to profit.

These pumpers – some persons, or some group, buys shares in a company.

They promote this stock to other investors.

The share price rises due to the other investors buying the stock and then pumpers unload their shares at a premium to other investors.

5 Steps In A Stock Pump and Dump

Step 1 – The Bait

This is the first step where the pumpers share the “good news” on a stock they bought earlier.

They spread the good news via personal emails lists, stock forums, money magazines, social media, words of mouth (via broker) or even go as far as getting the newspaper to write an article on this.

During The Bait stage, some popular sentences you always hear -

“The company is negotiating some hundreds of millions ringgit projects”

“The stock is undervalued and have huge upside potential”

“The stock is dirt cheap … you don’t want to miss out when the ‘good news” come out …. soon!”

“The stock is 20 cents with the target price (TP) of $1.20 …that’s a 500% gain!

Could this possibly be true?

Step 2 – The Rally

During this rally phase, the stock will start moving aggressively with the people who got the “good news” buying and pushing up the stock price and daily volumes 5 to 10 times higher than when the first “good news” posted as the bait was released.

And every day, for the next week, next two weeks, next month, you’ll see those same subject lines with the same calls to action: Buy, buy, buy…good news coming soon! Target price $1.50 …. jump in now!

And if you’ve already bought, the goal is to get you to buy more.

Step 3 – The Sell Off

The stock pumper generally refer to this as a “temporary profit taking.” In other words, they’re blaming a group of investors taking some profits who are driving down the stock prices.

However, the more likely culprit here is that all those pumpers who bought up million-plus share positions early on and are starting to dump their shares onto a very artificial market.

Unfortunately for the other hapless investors, most of those shares were sales executed by these pumpers as the stock plummeted below the price where most of them bought in.

Step 4 – The Rebound

Eventually, with enough work, enough spam, and enough new names pouring in thinking they are getting a bargain, the selling tide abates and the stock moves up again.

During The Rebound, popular sentences you always hear -

“The stock is a bargain at this price, buy now before it move again!”

“The stock is technically oversold and ready to resume its rally!”

“I just bought 300 lots at this cheap price.Getting ready for the bounce.”

In the next couple of days, the price does indeed recover, maybe as much as double from its sell off lows.

Step 5 – The Demise

In this stage, the stock slowly drop and keep dropping for weeks and months till all the selling dry up.

There is no more “good news” or is usually the case, no news on the stock at all.

All the stock pumpers have left the stock and they are promoting a new hot stock to new investors.

All we know, based on the pumper’s subject line, was that any chance for more gains on the stock pretty much went up in smoke the moment they came out with a new stock pick.

Conclusion

Legitimately promoting stocks is accepted, ethical, and if done right, profitable for everyone – investors and owners alike.

However, an evil cousin of legitimate promoting is a stock pump and dump.

Designed to be little more than a short-term artificial boost to the share price of a stock, stock pump and dump generally last only as long as it takes for those who financed the pump to sell their shares on their unsuspecting fellow investors.

Don’t be fooled by these stock pump and dump scams in the stock market by learning how to invest wisely on stocks.

Canon Ball News on 2/12/2015 – The meltdown in Casino De Bursa

Let’s not talk about Macro or any stocks tonight but purely the market behavior.

We saw some stocks meltdown recently, 1st of all we felt sorry to those who have trapped in such stocks and our thoughts are always with U. We would like to borrow a quote from a master that we knew and this is the quote “Greed is good, but never be too greedy”
U might be puzzled by this quote, but U will start to realise it once U dip long enough in the market.

Big Canon have been in the market for more than 10 years (we are not boasting but one of us did start to “goreng” stocks since form 5 with technical analysis and end up being played by stocks instead of playing stocks, we will do more sharing about our history in future).

Almost every year, we saw Super Stars that rocket up and rock the market but end of the day it “cliff down” where those short term punters that doesn’t cut loss had end up becoming long term investors in the company, wanted to make money in 6 hours but end up become an investor for 6 years.

Big Canon had once be the victim of such company, however it’s lucky that BCF respect their RUN ROAD price or else we would have gone with some of the company and now U know how important a RUN ROAD price is. End of the day, these companies had either changed name with capital reduction and the worst is delisted.

After being in the market for so many years, Big Canon understand that stock market is a gold mine and this gold mine have a lots of traps and temptation which will take away your life savings. To be precise there are more traps than gold in stock market but how shall we survive?

Big Canon has been trying ways to avoid such traps and we are proud to say that we have actually found ways to minimize the risk of falling into such traps. Big Canon have some personal criteria to filter stocks and also some strategy to manage risk. Big Canon’s criteria is a combination of Fundamentals analysis and Technical analysis as well as capital management (We will share the criteria to Royal Squad members). This is also a reason why Big Canon seldom enter a stock without doing all those fundamental checking and U may see that Big Canon may always calling the same stock.

Note: We can only minimize and manage risk but we can't avoid it totally unless we don't invest at all.

The reason of Big Canon enter a stock with fundamental is due to a few reasons.
1st We want to avoid those stocks that no solid backing or purely manipulations.
2nd The stock that we enter might fall due bad sentiment and hit our RUN ROAD price. However, there are always cases where members doesn’t RUN ROAD due to their mentality or maybe they are not aware of it.

Most importantly, a fundamentally solid stock will assure that the holder won’t lose all of their capital, in fact, they will be able to get back their capital and entice with some good gain once the market sentiment turns good again.

Some may ask, do Big Canon FiFo? Yes, we did FiFo too when the market is good, however, we prefer not to do sharing about this as this game need high speed trading as well as very high discipline to make it. It’s not that hard to make money by FiFo but its not easy either, a wrong move will make sure u get caught and cut loss to free urself.
We understand that most of the players love something that can get quick return as well as excitement, but to be frank, how many players do u think can make it through and be a millionaire solely doing FiFo? We wouldn’t rule out that there are players that are very successful with it, but it’s very rare.

Ask yourself what's the motive for u to come in stock market? To invest? To Punt? or just to look for excitement?

To our readers out there, Big Canon has a few objectives for setting up this blog and it is important for us to clarify here.
1st To be a responsible blogger that doesn’t involve in pump and dump. Why? Big Canon believe end of the day we will have to face our god and what we did will eventually come back to us.
2nd We are here to share market ideas and theme which investors are not aware of
3rd We are here to help retail investors to better off by shorten their learning period by sharing our experience (we have spent more than 10 years to learn)
4th Sharing our strategy to benefit the investors
5th We are following the path of some famous blogger and Guru which help the retailers to make money through his sights and investment logic.

Big Canon have been through tears and pain over the years, we have finally got out from the slump and we hope we can help others to lessen down their pain too.

“Stock market is a gold mine that full of opportunities, don’t turn it into Casino De Bursa and fall into the trap!"

May all the HUAT be with us!

We believe so, however we will not be able to confirm and commit 100% that it is VALUE CAP but the data and article recorded here will serve as an important information to confirm whether is it Value Cap in future.

We will have to monitor closely whether what will Value Cap do next and will it buoy the market sentiment and waking up those oversold small cap counter to rebound. Close monitoring is crucial for this!
